Snowflake Licensee Requirements

Basic Snowflake Licensing Information
Available Region For License Application
Primary Target Location: Penang, Johor, Melaka
Secondary Target Location: Other potential region outside Klang Valley. (West Malaysia Only)

Initial Licensing Fee
RM 60K paid to Snowflake (one off)

Equipment and Pre-Opening Costs
Typically these costs range from RM 350K – RM 500K. The size of the dessert cafe facility, area of the country, pre-opening expenses, inventory, selection of kitchen equipment, signage, licensee fee, rental deposits, and style of décor will all affect the total set up cost.

On-going Fees
During the term of the franchise, you pay Snowflake the following fees:
• 4% royalty fee
• 2% marketing fee

License Term
3 years + 2 years (option to renew)

Initial Down Payment
With our final approval after several interviews, an initial down payment is required when you purchase our license to operation a new Snowflake dessert café.
1. Approximately forty (40%) of the
total costs of a new Snowflake dessert Café = RM 200K
2. The initial licensing fee = RM 60K
Note: Partially will be forfeited if failing the store pre-opening training assessment.

Legal Entity Requirement
1. Forming a Sdn.Bhd. is required to enter into the licensing agreement with Snowflake.
2. The owner operator/person in charge must own at least 60% share of the newly formed company.
3. Maximum 3 shareholders, including yourself. All shareholders must hold the Malaysian citizenship.

Minimum Financial Requirement 
1. Total Net Worth on owner operator: RM 800K

2. Total (non-borrowing) liquid asset on owner operator: RM 600K
Note: Non-borrowed personal resources, which include cash on hand; securities, bonds, and debentures; vested profit sharing (net of taxes)

Personal Experience Requirement
1. Over the past 7 years, you are required to have minimum 2 years working experience in a retail business environment (best with QSR), which rely heavily on interpersonal skill.
2. Over the past 3 years, you are required to have minimum 12 months of leadership and management working experience with a group of minimum 3 people.
